If Halloween isn't your jam, don't worry we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week.
If you're new 'round here, my co-hosts Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from A Designer At Home and I, invite you to play along with our fun hashtag party on Instagram. The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so our hosts, followers, and amazing TST community can marvel at your goodies.
Occasionally, we're blessed to have a few of our favorite hashtag blogger friends guest hosting alongside us. This week, we have Nicole from Design It Vintage who has been posting with us every week of our Halloween extravaganza.
And now for my final Halloween finds:
These glossy purple pumpkins may actually look large due to the camera angle but they're actually mini pumpkins. There were a bunch of them, and they had these tiny light bulbs that let off a soft glow.
It was pretty easy to throw together this layered pumpkin vignette in the store. I'm sure with a couple more props like cheese cloth for a spooky or burlap for a country vibe, or even some black and white striped pattern to add a little extra glam.
Then there were an abundance of these orange skull-ish glasses that reminded me a little bit of Iron man. I could see some fun cocktails or a spooky kiddie punch in them. I'm sure the orange and red would look pretty scary together.
Last but not least this random doll with a buttface made from who knows what. I promise, I didn't photoshop that random red stain on the floor. Gross.
And now for the fun/scary/creative Halloween features from our #thriftscorethursday Instagram crowd:
Sandra may not have tagged this particular photo for our #thriftscorethursday party, but I couldn't help share how fun costume makeup can be. She originally caught my eye with her daughters adorable costume with even cuter make up.
How fun is this large paper skeleton? Totally reminds me of how we used to decorate our windows as a kid. I’m sure these are plenty fun in schools (I’m talking to you teachers!) as well!
Last time I'll creep you out with clowns... warning scroll ahead if you have Coulrophobia
I'm not sure how this flea market got away with selling these creepy fellows individually for $4 but they'd make for some super creepy Halloween Decor.
Well that’s all for week 88, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:
- Snap a photo of something that catches your eye or you decided to splurge on from anyplace secondhand (Craigslist, Thrift Stores, Auctions, Garage Sales, etc).
- Share your photo with the hashtag #thriftscorethursday on Instagram (if your profile is public) and/or Twitter, any day of the week!
I hope you enjoyed our Halloween Spooktacular ThiftScoreThursday Extravaganza. We hope you continue following along every Thursday for even more holiday fun in the coming months!
