3 #thriftscorethursday Things I Didn’t Buy on Craigslist Round 2

It’s time for another round of “Things I Didn’t buy on Craigslist.” Brynne posted her’s last week, which served as a reminder to share things I fell hard for but couldn’t bring myself to make the splurge.

#thriftscorethursday Week 77 | Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Brynne's from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, and Guest Poster: Michelle from Simply Santa Barbara

If you're new 'round here, my co-hosts Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of and I, invite you to play along with our fun hashtag party on Instagram. The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so our hosts, followers, and amazing TST community can marvel at your goodies.

Let’s kick this party off with my find:

Craigslist really turned up quite a few interesting pieces over the past couple weeks.
  1. The vintage tandem bike was a couple hundred dollars, and a bit out of my price range (although a pretty decent deal for the right buyer). Who wouldn't love a nice bike ride down by the lake/ocean/river with that special someone?
  2. Usually mid-century modern pieces have me sold on the 'keep it original' but this piece is definitely bold and really fun. The teal and black really pair well together don't you think?
  3. This vintage aluminum lounger reminded me a bit of Dena's Salon Chair (although hers is better) mostly from the colors and the era. If it had a pair, I may have considered it.
  4. Lastly, this candlestick set would have been a perfect addition to Corinna's growing collection, no?

And now for the dreamy features from our #thriftscorethursday Instagram crowd:

Kicking off this week's features is none other than Jenn. If you are unfamiliar, she is one of our rock-star #thriftscorethursday posters. I mean what's really not to love about this mighty fine collection of rusty doo-dads, especially the way she styles them. Swoon!

Caitlin scored this glorious "Eames" chair, which immediately reminded me of Brynne's beauty. You really need to head over to Catlin's blog and read about how her clever plan won over the seller, right here.

Don't you think Shannon did a wonderful job on this marquee arrow sign?!

Well that’s all for week 77, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:
  1. Snap a photo of something that catches your eye or you decided to splurge on from anyplace secondhand (Craigslist, Thrift Stores, Auctions, Garage Sales, etc).
  2. Share your photo with the hashtag #thriftscorethursday on Instagram (if your profile is public) and/or Twitter, any day of the week!
*You could be featured next Thursday as your hosts Brynne, Cassie, Corinna, and I (+a surprise guest host) dish out our favorite scores every week.

What have you passed on lately?

  3. that tandem bike is very cool, indeed....but I always wonder how much those actually get used, you know? I think I'd rather have my own bike; I'm selfish that way ;)
