If you're new 'round here, my co-hosts Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of and I, invite you to play along with our fun hashtag party on Instagram. The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so our hosts, followers, and amazing TST community can marvel at your goodies.
Occasionally, we're blessed to have a few of our favorite hashtag blogger friends guest hosting alongside us. This week, please give a warm welcome back, to Maggie from Maggie Overby Studios!
Let’s kick this party off with my find:
'Twas the middle of the night, when all through the neighborhood, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...
Well, something like it. You see I spotted these things on the curb as I rounded the final humungo curve on the drive home from a late evening some friends. So naturally, I high-tailed it home and begged the beau to help me load the truck. He protested and grumbled about stuff about the trailer being full. I then batted my eyes and got him to help whip the crap in the trailer in the yard and, without a care in the world, zoomed back there. To my surprise, all the pieces were still there.
At this point, he was pretty aggravated at me, mostly since I'm the worlds WORST mover ever, come to realize we needed to make two trips. This was about the time he noticed that we were two houses down from the town sheriff AND our truck isn't exactly er... quiet.
Long story short, we got these guys home safe and sound and ready for their...

And who says nothing good ever happened after 2AM?! All in the name of free leather I tell ya!
And if this story wasn't already cool enough, the neighbor kid, who volunteers (I kid you not!) to help us with these shenanigans (during the daylight, of course!), found three dollars in change, a sock, and some peanuts squished in the couch. Kid was so excited- for the cash, not the rest. We thanked him steak (and all that loose change) after this one.
And now for the dreamy features from our #thriftscorethursday Instagram crowd:
Speaking of free, Hailey was able to snag this guy from the trash too! All it needed was a little scrub and a nice wood topper:

Perfection!!
Next up:
Holli and her adorable vintage beehive pot. How perfect is this bad boy for her bee-lovin' self?!
And last but not least:
How gorgeous is this bar stool set?! Olivia sure knows how to pick the good ones!
Well that’s all for week 66, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:
- Snap a photo of something that catches your eye or you
decided to splurge on from anyplace secondhand (Craigslist, Thrift Stores,
Auctions, Garage Sales, etc).
- Share your photo with the hashtag #thriftscorethursday on Instagram (if your profile is public) and/or Twitter, any day of the week!
Oh and if you missed the memo, we've added to our hashtag party with this little ditty:
If you're stumped on what to do with your killer thrift score, simply add the #dearTST hashtag and our hosts will come up with some fun ways to re-purpose/makeover your find.
Thanks for stopping by this week! Hope to see what you got over on Instagram!!
