If you're new 'round here, welcome! My co-hosts Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of and I, invite you to play along with our fun hashtag party over on Instagram. The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so our hosts, followers, and amazing TST community can marvel at your goodies.
Occasionally, we're blessed to have a few of our favorite hashtag blogger friends guest hosting alongside us. This week, please give a warm welcome back to Paula from Virginia Sweet Pea! If you haven’t stopped over there in a while, you simply must see how she transformed her Ikea Rast Dresser into a patriotic beauty.
Let’s kick this party off with my find:
One night after work, I popped into one of my favorite thrift stores sans cash and spotted this beautiful hammered copper watering can. At $3.49, it was quite a bargain. I fell hard for that flat spout and the thin circular handle. Proving (yet again) leaving the wallet at home was a bad idea because when I went back for it, it was gone. Sad day.
And now for some much luckier features from our extremely talented #thriftscorethursday Instagram crowd:
As you probably already know, Sabrina is the QUEEN of killer furniture pieces. She has got SKILLS. I'm absolutely dying over this absolutely stunning geo credenza. It sort of reminds me of this west elm console, but Sabrina's is a gazillion times better.
Staci found this adorable set of vintage pastel ovens. Oh how I would have loved coming across these beauties for our Vintage Skylark Camper, but 1) San Diego is a bit of a stretch and 2) we already thrifted our oven. -I still owe you a BUNCH of posts as we've made quite a bit of progress these past couple
And then there's Selina's delicious blue and white plates to close off this week's features. Admittedly, I've been a lot more cognizant of blue and white place settings and vases while out thrifting. Sadly most land out of my price range. 'Round here we have our fair share of the Currier and Ives China style.
Well that’s all for week 59, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:
- Snap a photo of something that catches your eye or you
decided to splurge on from anyplace secondhand (Craigslist, Thrift Stores,
Auctions, Garage Sales, etc).
- Share your photo with the hashtag #thriftscorethursday on Instagram (if your profile is public) and/or Twitter, any day of the week!
Are you ready for yard sale season? Has it already started where you're from?
