11 #thriftscorethursday Metal Glass Holders with Serving Tray

I know I've been a slacker blogger lately, but that hasn't stopped me from hitting up thrift stores and virtually shopping alongside you guys! It truly is one of my favorite days of the week, hopping around our co-hosts, bonding over inexpensive vintage finds, seeing them wonderfully displayed in your beautiful homes, ahhh- I just can't get enough!!

#thriftscorethursday Week 47 | Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Brynne's from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, Corinna from For My Love Of, and Guest Poster: Anna from Le Crafteur

If you're new 'round here, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of,  invite you to hang out with us on Instagram. Each week we're blessed to have a few of our favorite hashtag blogger friends guest hosting along side us. This week, please give a warm welcome back to Anna from LeCrafteur!

The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so we can all marvel at your goodies.
After choosing my features this week, I noticed some commonality, all my features are mini-shopping sprees. Not just any shopping sprees, but the BEST kind, the kind one can feel good about without touching that line of credit... the thrifted kind! So without further ado, here are the features this week:

Rachel scored this adorable collection of oldie but goodies. I'm not sure I could even pick a favorite. That old clock reminds me of the alarm clock my dad used for many, many years growing up. And that curvy capiz lamp shade is the thing thrifted dreams are made of.

At first glance I failed to even notice that sweet little ice cream stained glass, how sweet (lame pun intended)!

Shannon scored some pretty sassy heels during her thrifting haul. I would totally rock those boots. She willfully traded in her heels for sporty shoes once she started a family. Admittedly, I'm child-less and cannot relate to all the wonderful mamas out there that trade in their heels for running shoes, but I give you all props. Mega props, I would cry and then cry some more (it's kind of an obsession of mine).

I totally get the sacrifice though... for one people over anything materialistic, then there's practicality and that little fact that your feet most likely change size (width, length or both) after popping out those little beans. Kudos ladies.

Last but certainly not least, Angelica takes the cake with her overhaul. Of course that black and white (with a dash of blue?) scarf instinctively drew me in. But it was also that modern white plant holder and the large woven basket that really sucked me in.

And lastly my find this week:

Shortly before Christmas, we found a new-to-us-thrift store in our area that was hidden waaaay out in the boonies. And let me tell you, it was worth the drive as we found some fantastic finds.

The prices were hit and miss. In this particular case, a miss. I fell HARD for this red metal glass holder complete with the faux marble serving tray. As in I still fantasize an elaborate Christmas and Valentines Day tablescape (what that's not normal?!) with these babies taking the spotlight. But alas, I couldn't convince myself (and the beau) that we could fork over the dough to take this baby home with us. If we make our way out there one of these weekends, you bet I'll be hunting the store to see if these beauts are still available and may even try my hand at negotiating especially since they've been there for quite some time now.... wish me luck!

Well that’s all for week 47, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:

  6. Those glasses are a STUNNER! Thankfully red is a meh color for me, if it were basically any other color I would probably cry to have to leave them. I sure hope they still have them, have marked them down and take your negotiating to a lower price!
