#thriftscorethursday Week 49 | Trisha from Black and White Obsession, Brynne's from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of

If you're new 'round here, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Cassie from Primitive and Proper, and Corinna from For My Love Of, invite you to hang out with us on Instagram sharing and browsing secondhand treasures.

The rules are simple: snap a pic of your thrifted treasure and throw the #thriftscorethursday hashtag so we can all marvel at your goodies.
We shall begin with the features:

#thriftscorethursday Week 49 | Instagram user: brit3389 shows off this Yellow T Strap Pumps
Heart her photo or give her a follow.

Not only are these T-Strap shoes the perfect shade of yellow, but they'd surely be the envy of the office that's for sure! Sadly, Brittany  had to #catchandrelease.

Stephanie definitely channeled my inner child with this ET glass. Ahh Drew Barrymore, have you grown into a wonderful woman.

And of course, I just HAD to show off Thalita's glass collection. The oblong beaded dish would look mighty fine next to my pedestal stand which can be spotted here (under the books).

My find this week came from this beauty:

#thriftscorethursday Week 49 Cine-Kodak Magazine 8 Camera | www.blackandwhiteobsession.com

We've been lucky enough to attend not one, but two mini-mansion, ginormous estate sales over the last six months or so. The first one we attended left us empty handed, but this mini-mansion colonial had some fun treasures.

In all honesty, we generally check out these mini-mansion sales just to snoop around beautifully historic homes complete with gorgeous craftsmanship, which seems to be a rarity now-a-days. Most of the pieces are a bit too rich for our blood.

This particular sale happen to make my day with a table FULL of old cameras. Most of their collection hailed from the awkward Kodak years like this 80's Kodak Trimprint Instant Camera. I was sadly disappointed until I spotted this beauty all the way in the back:

To my surprise, it was a movie camera!! A Cine-Kodak Magazine 8 Camera, to be exact. Even more surprising was that it hadn't been scooped up even after their second week of the estate sale. This particular company happens to slash their prices by 75% during their second weekend. Snagging this beauty for a mere $12.50, let's just say I was air-high-fiving my lucky Thrifting Angels.

After doing some quick research, this guy was made somewhere between 1940 and 1955. A true piece of history, in my book at least.

Of course I couldn't resist styling it on a glorious Italian Marble table, which was probably worth more than a new car, while in the half-hour-checkout-line. That time spent in line was more than worth it as a great addition to my small, but growing collection of vintage cameras.

Well that’s all for week 49, my dearies! We thoroughly enjoy scrolling through your entries every week and hope to see your thrifted treasures. It’s pretty easy to play along:

    1. Most of the time we notice them as we're running errands around town. There's also a business in one of the cities nearby that hosts them all the time, they advertise on their Facebook page, so we just stalk them there. They also hand out fliers at the end of the purchase for the next estate sale. It's pretty awesome. Come visit Wisconsin, I'd LOVE a shopping buddy!!
