6 #thriftscorethursday Media Cabinet

It's Thursday which means it's time for another #thriftscorethursday!!

We're at it again folks, Brynne from The Gathered Home, Megan from Rental Revival and I are challenging YOU to scour your local thrift stores to find unique and interesting pieces! So grab your camera (or cell phone), head to your local thrift stores, and show off your treasures using the #thriftscorethursday on Instagram or #thriftscorethursday on Twitter.

Y'all blew me away with the entries last week! My favorites were:

That worn directional street sign had me at hello! I'm not sure if Stacey intentionally placed the sign against that brick wall but I think it pairs together nicely, don't you think?! Oh and she shares a little story behind it over on her blog. Can you believe it was the FIRST time she's ever used a hashtag? I think she'll be a pro in NO time!

And then there was glass... oh how I have an obsession with glass. Those vintage apothecary jars, well I'm guilty of hoarding my fare share, one of these day's they'll actually be on display in our home! Oh and that dog statue! Megan really found some amazing pieces!

I'm ridiculously excited to show off my #thriftscorethursday find this week... drum roll... this chunky Media Cabinet:

Like last week, I'm kicking myself for leaving it behind because there are so many possibilities. As you may have noticed, the piece was so massive, it was difficult to capture the whole thing (the aisle was also narrow). At $35 without a scratch and some beautiful ORB hardware, it really was a steal.

Oh and the worst part?! Leaving behind all that beautiful cabinetry. You see, the beau has this strict 'no more furniture until you finish what we have' policy. As in, we have a stockpile of furniture in our basement begging for their very own NSync Come-Back. Ugg... but those doors could have been re-purposed into a much needed pantry for our kitchen.... Oh the struggles of DIY Life.

Anyway, we've actually converted a big and chunky media center into something else, successfully I may add, to which I cannot wait to show y'all. Until then, check out this media center conversion into a little girls dress up station or this armoire turned organized teen station for inspiration. Better yet, here's a round up of ideas (not the best photos, but the ideas are all that matter right?!).

Well friends, would you have left that beaut behind? Do you ever get the awful feeling of regret leaving the perfect piece behind?

    1. Thanks girl!

It's a sickness really, I could take any piece of junk and find some use for it! Thankfully the beau's there to hold me back!

  3. I love this series! Thrifting is one of my very favorite weekend activities. It must have been hard to leave that cabinet behind at only $35. That's a great price.

    1. Awe thanks for stopping by Paula!!

It was extremely difficult leaving it behind. Dang beau and all his rules... although I'm sure our home would look like a thrift store if everything came home with me! ha!
