6 What I wore- Fantastic Fridays: Week 28

Helllooo Friday!! Yay, it’s probably the one day a week when I actually know what day it is. Anywho, it’s time for the next installment of What I Wore this Fantastic Friday. When working through some blogging goals, I decided to turn this Fantastic Friday series into a bi-weekly venture and the alternate weeks will be packed with some themed fun/inspiration tidbits from the web. You know, since there may be an end to my closet some day.

If you’re new here, WELCOME! Feel free to check out a few of the early posts to see what this series is all about (more links at the bottom of this post).

But before we get into this week’s outfit, let’s revisit the prior week’s outfit verdict. If you remember, I was traveling with a buddy of mine and was dressed with a bright orange sparkly top. Instead of the beaus reaction (since he wasn’t there), this time I’m going with one my best friends reaction.
I have to tell this in short story form: We had been driving all night catching up on old stories, joking around like little kids again. So we stopped at some random gas station for, well, gas and came to realize that the sun had risen. We figured it was time to feel a bit normal and adult for a moment and change out of our oldie-so-yesterday clothes.

After walking out of the restroom, sort of like the walk of shame juggling deodorant and other toiletries, he comes in randomly out of the blue he says “You look nice today.”

Since it was a #randomroadtrip I had about 20 minutes to pack and head to his house before we left. No time for some sprucing up or even change from what I was wearing that day- which was a droopy skirt and an Autism speaks t-shirt. Classy Trisha. Classy. Needless to say, the compliment was very reassuring.

I won’t bore you with the rest of the trip details, even though we made some good laugh-tastic memories, instead onto this week’s loungewear outfit:
Dork-tastic, CHECK | Messy hair, CHECK.
This isn’t my first PJ rodeo folks, and sadly, it probably won’t be the last.

Let me tell you, Mother Nature seems to be teasing us with extreme temperature changes and today was no different. We’re in the fall temperatures which, to me, meant busting out a favorite punk-star fleece PJ pants. That shirt was a hand-me down from a friend many moons ago. I couldn’t let that gem get tossed or thrifted. Uhh, my favorite band in a super lounge-y size, count me in. In spirit of trying to get a reaction (more than a few simple words) from the beau, I tossed in that ombre/rainbow chevron cashmere scarf (fancy AND soft) I so lovingly received for Christmas from the beaus mom. Turning it into a karate headband? Priceless.

Are you enjoying fall temperatures? Do you enjoy warm pj kinda days? Do you have any ideas or suggestions for the themed series? How about a new series name? Any and ALL suggestions are welcome!!

And that’s it my friends, is this week’s What I wore- Fantastic Friday. Hope ya’ll have a Fantastic Friday and a fall-erific weekend!

  1. Love that you call your boyfriend "the beau" - so adorable and classy! I had to go check out a few other What I Wore - Fantastic Fridays posts to see what it was all about, but I love it!

My Fridays usually involve wearing one of my husband's comfy tees while working on projects... There's just something so much comfier about baggy shirts!

    1. He once was referred to as the cute guy before we started dating haha. Glad you like this reoccurring post. I hope you found the funny ones.

Baggy shirts are really the best, even better when they're the hubby's!

  2. You pull off dorky very well--you always manage to look so dang adorable!

    1. Awe thanks Cortney! Good thing the look is pretty quick and easy to pull together, otherwise how could anyone manage?

  3. I have to say, I love your karate ninja scarf headband getup. It's like Pinterest chic meets comfy chevron inspired road trip.
