14 Quick and Easy: Around the Blogosphere No. 1

Welcome to the very first, Around the Blogosphere where some of the most spectacular tutorials will be showcased from the most creative blog friends (or co-workers if you will) I know.
This world-wide event (ok, just here in my little corner of the blog world) will be hosted bi-weekly by yours truly and will feature a theme of some sort. The theme this week is Quick and Easy, and boy do I have the tutorial links in store for you:

I must say I received an overwhelming, shut-the-front-door, knock-your-socks-off, kind of response to the QUICK AND EASY casting call show me whacha got plea. These projects could even go as far to say they're so easy a caveman could do it.

Megan is the first to kick off. I'm sure many of you have a plain boring filing cabinet just begging for a makeover. Why not add a little pizzazz in the form of gold leafing:
A quick and easy weekend project with a few coats of paint and a little dry time between, you can turn your sad paper storage into something fabulous. Check out the tutorial here.

If you're still not on the gold train, maybe you could try your hand at a silvery-zinc look:
And with Halloween just around the corner, grab your plastic pumpkins that were soo-last year and some painting supplies to convert your pumpkin into something fantastic. Check out the tutorial here.

Now this lamp upgrade is so quick, I think it would put Speedy Gonzales to shame:
Slap a little bling on your lamps chain and you're good to go. If you like it then you shoulda put a peacock on it... no? Well then, check out the rest of her gorgeous lamp here.

String art + Clocks = match made in art heaven. Check it:
Some quick measurements and a few adjustments to create your very own clock masterpiece. Head on over to Dria's tutorial here.

Transferring Images to Wood couldn't get any easier following Becky's instructions.
Dear Mod Podge, thanks for being handy. That is all. Lovingly so, Trisha D.

Speaking of wood, why not distress a frame you have lying around?
Jazmin shows you how to add a little color and character to a chunky wood frame over here.

You know what's adorable? Polka dots. You know what's even more adorable? Polka dots on a red tricycle.
Rachel shows you how quick and easy it is to slap some vinyl and call it good over here.

Saving glass from the trash is one of my favorite things to do and the beau hates it. Maybe if I made something as vintage-y as Brooke's Olive Oil Bottle, he'd have a change of heart.
That metal tag is divine, no?

I hope you enjoyed the first edition of Around the Blogosphere- Quick and Easy on this fabulous Friday Afternoon.

What are you up to this weekend? Are you now squeezing in some time to jazz up random pieces of furniture? Maybe you're ready to tackle some quick art around the house...?

It's been an under the weather kinda week over here in the B&W O household, so I hope you forgive me for the lack of posts.
